A Vision of Fire
Gillian Anderson and Jeff Rovin
Book One of The EarthEnd Saga opens in present-day New York and begins with a political crisis playing out at the United Nations between India and Pakistan. Maanik, teenage daughter of India's ambassador to the U.N., witnesses an assassination attempt on her father. Soon, Maanik is speaking gibberish and experiencing excruciating nightmares. The tensions created by the crisis have strange ripples around the world--an Iranian boy sets himself on fire and a Haitian girl claws at her throat--seemingly drowning while on dry land. Their traumas at the far corners of the world seem unconnected.
Child psychologist Caitlin O'Hara, who specializes in pediatric schizophrenia and uses hypnosis and past-life regressions in her practice—races to the ends of the earth to discover the true meaning of these tragic stories in order to save Maanik...and perhaps the world. She may not like what she finds…

ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Gillian Anderson is returning to the genre that made her a cultural icon – but it’s not on television. The newest project from the star of The X-Files is a book franchise called the EarthEnd Saga, a collaboration with co-writerJeff Rovin. The first novel, entitled A Vision of Fire, will be published in October by Simon & Schuster through a new imprint devoted to literary and speculative fiction across all genres called Simon 451, a nod to legendary author Ray Bradbury’s dystopian/sci-fi classic Fahrenheit 451.
Jeff Rovin, a consummate professional as a co-writer, ghost writer, and author under his own name for books, magazines, and television, will bring his deep knowledge to bear on EarthEnd Saga. He is the author of over 100 books, including over a dozen for Tom Clancy’s OP-CENTER series (ten of them New York Times bestsellers—one of them a #1 New York Times bestseller). Jeff lives in New York City.
