Rebekah is looking for fantasy, science-fiction, historical fiction, mysteries, upmarket fiction, and speculative fiction. She does not represent children's, YA, non-fiction, or erotic romance.

Turnaround times:
We are receiving over 7,000 unsolicited queries a year. Due to that overwhelming number, usually we can only respond if we're interested in your project. We make no promises about when we can get back to you, we're trying to be as quick as we can, which usually isn't quick enough.
- Query by email letter first at [email protected] or [email protected]. Be sure to include the word "Query" in the subject line.
- Please include a brief synopsis and biography explaining what the book is and who you are.
- Please do not include or attach any sample material to the query, unless we ask you first.
- DO NOT MAIL HARD COPY.
- DO NOT CALL TO MAKE A VERBAL PITCH.
- If you've written an adult novel or nonfiction book, the minimum word count should be 60,000 words. We cannot accept or look at submissions for manuscripts under 60,000 words--it's too short to be published by a book.
- If you've already self-published your book, we're not interested unless it's sold a lot of copies. We're not interested because publishers aren't interested.
- If you've written a book about working with celebrities, you yourself are not a celebrity. You are celebrity-adjacent. We can't sell celebrity-adjacent memoirs.
- Be professional. If you want to be taken seriously, no email outbursts if we reject your project, please. Keep your ego in check. The fact is that we take on very few new authors every year. It's extremely tough to break through the volume of submissions. It's a numbers game--not personal.
