END GAME/Antenna Books                                                                                                   Thriller
Clive Drake

A post-9/11 political thriller, End Game follows Marcus Hunt, a tough, uncompromising British MI6 (Ministry of Intelligence) agent and Teddy Meyer, his CIA counterpart—as they follow the trail of four Soviet-era tactical nuclear weapons stolen from Russia.  The joint Anglo-US investigation uncovers an unthinkable political and religious alliance by Middle and Far Eastern extremists.  Hunt goes in undercover and discovers his counterterrorist team is riddled with moles.  Recalled to London after eliminating the moles, Hunt realizes MI6 has been compromised at the highest levels.  Narrowly staying one step ahead of rogue agents, Hunt is annexed to the CIA and must race against time to stop the nukes from falling into the wrong hands, or even worse, from being detonated.
Hunt and Meyer form a dubious partnership with the Russian mafia, participate in spying missions inside of Iran, and illegal rendition flights to South Africa where they discover that the CIA’s spy network has been infiltrated and that the professional “information retrievers” are nothing more than a family of torturers working for the highest bidder.  When Hunt’s girlfriend is murdered—live, on the internet—Hunt knows he is up against as ruthless an organization as has ever existed.  But what is their goal?  Where will it all lead?  When the first bomb is detonated in Shanghai, it raises more questions than it answers.  And when intel leads them to a hotel in Detroit, it sets the stage for a dramatic showdown between Hunt and Meyer and the terrorists who are ready to put their end game into action.
A truly thrilling first novel in the spirit of Robert Ludlum, author Clive Drake will tie readers to their chairs and not let them go until the last page is turned.
